3D PRINTING
I would like to request assistance and/or suggestions regarding more economical alternatives for our current 3D printing workflow, while maintaining the quality of the results.
Currently, we follow this sequence:

  1. 3D modeling in Rhinoceros 3D.
  2. Texture application in Materialise 3-matic.
  3. Preparation in Materialise Magics (e-stage), with “holland” settings and output to the OMG 660 printer.
The advantage of this workflow is that the software identifies the texture map applied in 3-matic during slicing, eliminating the need to apply “volume” for printing textures when generating the code.

Can anyone recommend solutions on the market that offer this same texture recognition functionality in a more cost-efficient way?

At the practice I am at we use “grab cad” I am not sure it has what you need but it’s a cheaper alternative than magics

Maybe take a look it has developers that take in input from users so it’s evolving

Hope you find what you are looking for
