3D printed egg

Finally year 1 of school is almost over and i have more time for rhino projects and exploring its 3d printing capabilities. the combination of rhinos speed and design freedom aswell as making quick design changes on the fly is quite impressive so far.

So i made this egg in rhino and 3d printed it, the idea is to have have it for decoration, gift box or holidays like easter, its available here in makerworld: https://makerworld.com/sv/models/2871615-egg-decoration#profileId-3206140

(color mix on it is because i wanted to get rid of old filament spools and didnt know my machine had sensors)

Let me know if i can do anything better, cheers!

Gold freshly printed:

A modern version of the Fabergé eggs. :+1:

Very nice eggs that pattern can totally be made

Yes, if you visit the National Gallery of Saint Petersburg’s website, you should be able to find some Fabergé eggs. Keep in mind that they are true works of jewelry, and each one is unique. Some even contain tiny paintings and miniature details that could be considered micro-paintings. You won’t find two that are exactly the same.

Recreating one of these eggs in 3D is actually a great 3D modeling exercise, because it involves complex shapes, ornamental details, and a high level of craftsmanship.

They look very cool rhino can definitely make patterns like this

I wish i had a printer with ams aswell, trying to fund a better printer through maker world i got 151 points so far :joy:
