3D mouse compatibility conflicts continued

Recent development:

When I click the ‘properties button’ for the device, it fails to open the properties for the device.

This started happening within the last 30 days or so.

It would be great if Rhino and Logitech could just get along. :coffee:

Rhino, sad to say, has always had the worst compatibility with 3D mouses :smiling_face_with_tear:

Hopefully someday Rhino and Logitech can work it out.

Additionally, today I have a colleague who was trying to install and use a brand new device I bought for them. They’ve had so much trouble, they’re giving up and going back to Rhino 5.

Have you tried this solution which I wrote at post #6?

I’ll try to check this out soon and get back to you. I’ve been swamped at work lately. :beers: Thank you!

I went ahead and sent it to my colleague but they couldn’t read it so I had to recompile it from a screenshot.

I haven’t verified it yet myself but I did use AI to revise it into a Word document and this is what I sent them:

I hope it works :joy:

I’ll try to see if it works on my end atm.

Now I’m having deja vu, seems like you’ve taught me this before…

Nice. Maybe there is some conflict between the 3d connexion driver and certain programs that cause incompatibility, slow performance or other issues.

Ha-ha, I posted this solution on various topics during the last few years, because I had numerous troubles with sudden losing of compatibility with the 3DxWare driver for no obvious reason. These issues typically occur after closing Rhino normally and opening it as usual on the next morning. I believe that the driver itself saves all settings every day and sometimes (a few times per year) the file may get corrupted. Maybe.

P.S.: Time to watch “Deja Vu” with Denzel Washington again.
