A good friend asked me to help him design a tombstone for a loved one. We made something that’s quite nice, yet a lot more complex than what all the stoneworkers usually do. They usually do a bit of engraving, some edge treatment, and some ‘fillets’. This is more a sculpture than a headstone so we are looking with someone with experience/equipment machining (3D surfacing) complex geometry. Tombstone finished piece bounding box is 34" tall x 30" wide x 11" deep. It could be done in a 3-axis machine with some manual chiseling to bring our an undercut in one large detail.
Please let me know this is something you could do and would like to take on. Ideally USA-based since shipping would be crazy expensive/complex otherwise.
