3D Connexion deletes RhinoFS.xml

In past versions of Rhino, 3D connexion assigned them their own .xml file.

Currently, both R7 and R8 WIP share the same, its called RhinoFS.xml
I have manually edited RhinoFS.xml as I Swap Yaw & Roll to fit my personal preferences.
When R8 starts, my RhinoFS.xml gets deleted, and my R7 settings get out of wack…

Any known workaround that can fix this issue?

My RhinoFS.xml is still there.

I think I may have solved it.
I allowed a new file to be created, and added these lines:
Rhinoceros 6
Rhinoceros 7
Rhinoceros 8
Thus far I was able to open both R7 & R8 and they held the settings, let’s see.

Hello, how did you add Rhino 7 and Rhino 8 to cfg file ? Habving same problem listed here @Yianni @nathanletwory @martinsiegrist

After a full day of hair-pulling, this is what appears to have fixed the issue for me:

Hello, I have the same problem, I am using Rhino 7 and 8 with Space Mouse Pro and Cad Mouse.
Can I ask you the courtesy to explain me step by step how to “allow the creation of a new file” and how to edit the XML file by adding, I assume, in my case. the string “Rhinoceros 7”.
I am not familiar with these things. I need to solve and be able to use both Rhino 7 and 8, because the latter currently has major problems with objects “jumping” into the scene using Space Mouse ( here: Rhino 8 - Spacemouse 'jumping')
Thank you.
