2D Lines in Raytrace - Expected to be Blocky?

This doesn’t block a workflow for me- just curious.

Simple model with some 2D components. I ran a raytrace in the perspective view. It’s more blocky than I anticipated for the 2D elements. Is this expected?

FWIW Raytraced (and Rhino Render) doesn’t render curves, texts, annotations and the likes. That is all done by the display pipeline.
