I’ve been figuring out how to deal with the layers dialog issues. Besides the printing issues this one has been kicking my ass. Undocking the layer’s dialog doesn’t fix the issue but alleviates it because the dialog is way bigger. I added a button to my middle mouse menu for quick access. I also realized I can add another tab - and recently started using layer states.
Sometimes if you’re lucky you can find a work-around. Sometimes not. My properties panel was getting way to crowded anyways so even when the layer’s dialog gets fixed I probably won’t keep docking it.
There are lots of bugs but lots of solutions too. Its not ideal and sometimes you get double-teamed by multiple bugs. In this example the layer dialog sometimes doesn’t remember its size. I can live with that. I’m one of the lucky (luckier) ones I think the only bug(s) I can’t cope with right now are the printing issues that’s it. Everything else I can steer around.
