1. The calculation was terminated by the user! - MicroclimateMap error

Hi there,

I’ve recently built a UTCI calculator based on the fantastic examples produced by Theodore and Chris; I’d like to take a moment to thank all those involved in the production of the tools and example canvases.

My canvas is working for a simple orthogonal box model built in the Rhino environment.

I’m now trying to use the same workflow on a slightly more complex model imported from SketchUp.

The workflow seems to all be working correctly until I run the MicroclimateMap module, at which point the error “1. The calculation was terminated by the user!” appears.

Having looked around the forums it seems another user was having this issue and it was reflective of a mathematical impossibility (divide by zero or similar) within the component.

Unfortunately, I’m not yet at the point of understanding where I can scrutinise the code to this degree.

I would sincerely appreciate any assistance in rectifying this problem. As well as this, I’d be very grateful for any feedback on my canvas and advice about how to approach more complex scenarios.

The model and grasshopper canvas (with geometry internalised) are saved at this link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w0kipixga4f63jz/AAC1N2vwJSZ0XRxYvY7Jxnuca?dl=0

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Kind regards,
Tom

Hi Tom - you should probably post this question on the LB|HB forum here:
https://discourse.ladybug.tools/

Also, you are using components from a 3rd party plug-in (Wombat) in a rather big definition. You will likely have bigger chances of getting help if you only use default GH components apart from Honeybee and internalize data in components right before where you start having problems. Then delete everything that is not necessary to reproduce the error.

Hi Wim,

Many thanks for your quick reply. I’ll do as you suggest and post on the LB|HB forum with as much as possible internalised.

Thanks again.

Tom
