I kept checking strange behavior of Rhino in the last 2 weeks. At one point, after many hours of operation, Rhino slows the execution of commands and in the pan object, the SpaceMouse Pro (3DxVirtualNumpad) occupies up to 1 GB of RAM and at that point, during the pan, objects move with an effect similar to that of the trackpad in Safari pages (drag even after the command release). At that point I have to reboot and everything is normal. I noticed that this behavior occurs when activity monitoring marks 30 gb of memory used (about 32gb). I have been told that El Capitan always occupies much RAM when running in order to make it more responsive, but I suspect that some resource continues to accumulate to the point of ram swap.
I recently changed the size of all the high-resolution images that I use in Rhino to maximum size 300kb one o’clock in order to verify if the situation was improving. Rhino instead continues to take 10-15 seconds to complete the self rescue.
Generally the problem is while I have 2 or 3 Rhino files open, 1 or 2 with a lot of background images.
El Capitan runs on a Samsung SSD 850 External evo 500 gb with Inateck houses supporting UAS.
