Rhino for Mac, hanging with spinning wheel

Since installing RC1 (Ver 5.0 5A851)Rhino for Mac had many problems with the spinning wheel appearing and a long delay before system responds, this is mainly when selecting entities (curves, circles etc) in 2D drawings but sometimes happens when selecting printer, it appears to occur randomly. This never happened with any of the WIP versions. At times its so slow that Rhino is almost unusable, I usually go and make a coffee while waiting. Tried re-starting both Rhino and the Mac, no different.
Running Yosemite 10.10.3, with 16GB ram and 500GB free disk space.

I’ve been seeing this too, and just reported it. It would be useful if you could collect a sample for the hang and attached it here. Details on how to do that are at http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/activitymonitor.html#AM-Sample-Process

Thanks everyone for your reports here on the slow down you’ve seen. We definitely want to get to the bottom of this but have yet to reproduce it here as shown or to the extent you’ve seen. This is the toughest part of solving any issue really so if you find that any additional scenarios such as the number of open Rhinos or other programs running may be a factor please post here as well with that info.
