Odd Screen White Outs

I’ve been seeing this on and off for some time now. It most often occurs when I have more than one file open.

This is typical of what the screen normally looks like.

However, if I go over to the other open file’s window, do anything there, then come back to the original file that’s open and do things, I get variants of this:

Or this:

Objects in the affected viewports can still be selected (by clicking on stuff blindly) but you can’t see anything.

Generally closing rhino and reopening just one file will cure it, but having multiple files open (particularly if I have one up on each of my 2 1920x1200 displays) will eventually cause it to start occurring.

Moving the view forces a refresh, and it will come back (for a while) but other operations outside the pane tend to make it happen again (like in this case I selected the contents of the object on a layer in the layer manager and moved them to a different layer. Again, once it starts, it will not permanently go away until I close rhino and restart it.

It’s not a low ram situation, as I have 24GB installed and only 9GB used. The video card is a GT120 (I have also have a pair of GTX 970’s installed, but those are for GPU only use, they don’t even have monitors connected, and are solely for rendering.

It’s not file specific, and happens on large files and tiny ones. It’s not “utterly” repeatable, in that there are times when I can go for some time between two files without it happening.

Only other apps open at the time this time are Mail, Textedit, activity monitor, SMCFanControl, IStatMenu, HardwareMonitor, Safari, and Blender (not currently rendering).

Lemme know if there’s any other info you need.
