Object Snap Labels gone bad - 10.9.3 and Build 2014-06-10

Upgraded to 10.9.3 (from 10.8.5) and 2014-06-10. Some Object Snap Labels appear to start with different Asian language characters and the first character will change - i.e., move around a circle with center snap and the character changes, though the remaining English is still “center.” The midpoint snap label does not appear at all. Happens with old and new models.

Not sure if this is relevant… tested tool tip labels in Adobe App and they are OK.

Just noticed this appears to be the same issue.

FWIW - installed 515 on a different 10.9.3 Mac (Late 2012 iMac) and DID NOT experience the snap label issues reported here and in the other thread below.

Question out of curiousness…noticed on both machines, first launch of 515 took extraordinarily long, like something is going on under the hood? Thereafter, 515 launches in normal time. At first I though my system was FUBAR after an update until I waited it out.
