Import dae collada files into Rhino

Just started using R5 and can’t figure out how to import .dae (collada) files. Is there some way to do this?

You can’t. Rhino only supports DAE files as an export format, not import.

I was able to convert my dae file to .obj by submitting to an online service. The resulting accompanying .mtl material file was not usable by Rhino. http://www.greentoken.de/onlineconv/

Autodesk FBX Convertor 2013.3
In Sketchup, export to DAE. Then in the Autodesk FBX Convertor - Convert the DAE to FBX,
In Rhino, Import the FBX!
