Identify student license from serial number

Is there a way to identify a student license from serial number ?

I hope to sell a student license for my plugin and would like to identify them before issuing a plug-in key.

I have tried requesting the student’s id card - but found this unreliable.

Hi Keith,

I never know what you’re developing with (e.g. RhinoScript, C++, etc.). But RhinoScript contains this method:

The other SDKs have an equivalent.
