How to snap center? Osnap not working

Hi, I have been using Sketchup for years and now trying to learn Rhino. Right now I am trying to comprehend the snapping tools and for some reason I can not snap to the center of a circle or rectangle.
The Osnap - Point, Center and Intersection - is on. When zoomed out, it seems to snap, but when I zoom in it is always not on the right spot.
What should I modify to have a correct snap?

Hi Twana - Cen OSnap finds the center of curves when the cursor is on the curve itself - not when it is near the center - does that work better?
