History oversight ApplyCurvePiping

Hi,

It appears that not all curve-piping settings are not History linked.
More specific; if I turn the curvepiping Off in the parent, the children still have it on.
See example: noCPhistory.3dm(61.8 KB)

That is correct. ApplyCurvePiping doesn’t work with history.

Hi Andy,

Is that by design? I’d wish for History to link this type of functionality as well.

It makes sense that it’s not history enabled, same as applying any object property (color, layer, linetype, etc) does not break history to the parent. You’re not actually copying geometry via the CurvePiping, just applying a property…

History on such a function, in my opinion, seems it would be a huge limitation…

Hi Jonah,

Good points, in a general view I agree with this paradigm.
It was for my current workflow that the issue arose. Yet like you state it is expected behaviour when viewing curve piping as a object property.
