Exporting to a non-Rhino user

How do I export a Rhino file with the basic Rhino-render, so that a client who doesn’t have Rhino, can open it on their PC?
I have tried exporting it to PDF but it comes out as a wire-frame instead of a basic render.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

It’s not clear from your description if you want the client to be able to watch a 3D model or just a 2D image thereof. If you export to PDF - unless you have a 3DPDF plugin for Rhino - you will only get a 2D image. In that case you can just use -ViewCaptureToFile and save as PNG, JPG, …

Hi Wim,

Thank you, that is exactly what I was needing to do - viewcapturetofile- is
perfect!

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards

Lynton

Another question, if I may.
When I exported the rendered picture to PDF it came out as a wire-frame.
Is there a setting that I am not aware of?

In the print settings (assuming that’s what you use to get the PDF out) you will have to use bitmap output instead of vector.

Great! thank you Wim!
