This amazing project is modeled entirely in Rhino by D2W’s jewelry designer Dovydas for Charlotte Asherson, a graduate of Central St Martins in London.
Charlotte wanted her collection to look masculine and heavy, and had a few specific stone setting methods in mind, such as tension setting and channel setting. But making her collection traditionally from precious metal was not viable, so she turned to CAD and 3D printing.
From her initial sketches she worked with Dovydas to produce the entire collection using D2W’s Nylon SLS printers, finishing the prints to a high metallic finish and setting with Swarovski crystals.
